Kalahari Resorts and Conventions founded National Waterpark Day on July 28, 2017, to celebrate the unique attractions waterparks offer especially during the height of summer. The resort was awarded #1 World’s Coolest Indoor Waterpark by Conde Nast Traveler in 2014.
The Registrar at National Day Calendar® declared the observance to be celebrated on July 28th, annually.
National Day Calendar® and Kalahari Resorts and Conventions formed a collaboration in 2024 to create National Tom Foolerys Day. Each year on April 1, we celebrate the spirit of adventure, play, and a little bit of trickery, in all of us.
