INTERNATIONAL RETAINER DAY
National Day Calendar celebrates the beauty of International Retainer Day on July 19. This International Day challenges you to make a commitment to your beautiful smile. We are using today to learn about what’s behind keeping a straight and beautiful smile years after orthodontic treatment: your retainer.
#INTERNATIONALRETAINERDAY
Retainers were invented in the early 1900s to help stop teeth from shifting so your smile stays nice and straight. If you don't wear your retainer after orthodontic treatment, your teeth tend to shift. They may even relapse to their old crooked positions.
How old are retainers?
Retainers aren't a modern invention. In fact, they actually date back to the early 1900s and were originally invented to prevent teeth from shifting back to their original crooked positions after orthodontic treatment.
On International Retainer Day we celebrate wearing your retainer and make it a healthy oral care habit to protect the smile you invested in. Let's celebrate the trusty retainer pal worn by millions of people across the USA and around the world.
